Access to clean water is a basic human right, yet thousands of vulnerable youth in Makululu lacked this necessity—until now. The Salesians’ Clean Water Initiative installed a solar-powered borehole system, benefiting over 1,500 street-connected and marginalized children.
This project not only improves health but also ensures uninterrupted education, as students no longer spend hours fetching water. Stories like John Chilufya’s—who transitioned from street life to school—show the transformative power of holistic care.
